My goal? One year, one hundred movies. My one rule is that I can’t list something that is a repeat viewing (unless it’s paired with corresponding movies that I haven’t seen). Let the filler content challenge begin!

#1. The Tattooist (2007) 2.5 stars — Unintentionally funny, not really scary. The stunt casting (if you could call it that) of Matthew Ridge was A+!

#7. Hairspray (2007) 4 stars — Funniest parts: Zac Efron rolling around on his linen and Alison Janney’s “Devil child! Devil child!”. The happiest movie I’ve seen in ages.

#10. Turtles Can Fly (2004) 4 stars
#11. The Celluloid Closet (1995) 3 stars — Interesting subject matter - gay/lesbian representation in Hollywood cinema - but it relied too much on the selected movie clips to make it engaging.
#12. Good Night, And Good Luck (2005) 4 stars
#13. Stripes (1981) 1.5 stars — Not really the sort of humour that appeals to me, but there were some funny parts.

#40. The 3 Rooms of Melancholia (2004) 1 star — The only part I enjoyed was the montage of photos (very moving). I had to struggle to finish the rest.
#41. Sense & Sensibility (1995) 5 stars — One of my favourite Austen adaptations.
#42. Fame (1980) 3 stars — The movie was enjoyable, but it felt like all you were given were the bare bones of their stories.
